Some think that the Dutch were knocked out of WW2 in five days. Not so! While the Netherlands was occupied after tough resistance by an overwhelmed army, the Queen and the government had relocated to London, and from there directed the resistance of the colonies, navy and merchant marine. Throughout the war the Dutch continued to fight the Germans with creative means to keep the war effort going, such as locating the Royal Netherlands Military Flying School in Jackson, Mississippi, USA. In addition to the navy – the Dutch even towed uncompleted fighting ships to England to be completed to avoid their capture by the Germans, they contributed three squadrons of aircraft and a brigade of infantry that acquitted themselves well during Operation Overlord.
The list below is for early-war Dutch equipment. I am not certain, but it is probable that late-war Dutch fought with UK or US equipment.
